There are several cheat codes available in Assault
which are accessed by typing the relevant key combination (listed below)
on the 'Assault - press Start' screen within a 3 second period.
Once a cheat has been activated successfully, the screen will flash
white with a 'whoosh' sound effect and the cheat name is displayed at
the top of the screen.
Goodies
Triangle, Square,
Circle, Left, Square, Triangle, Square, Circle, Left, Square
Once activated an additional entry is placed in the options menu at the
end of the list. This option allows you to skip levels, set 'infinite
all' whereby the player gets all weapons with infinite ammo and view all
of the FMV sequences used in-game. This cheat is awarded to the player
if the game is successfully completed on PSYCHO difficulty.
Nakomi
Up, Up, Down, Down,
Left, Right, Left, Right, Cross, Circle
This cheat flattens the mesh all of the 3D characters with the exception
of the 'boss' character This cheat is awarded to the player if the game
is successfully completed on COMMANDO difficulty.
Big Head Players
Square, Circle, Circle,
Square, Up, Square, Circle, Circle, Square, Triangle
This cheat scales up the size of the character's head This cheat is
awarded to the player if the game is successfully completed on SQUADIE
difficulty.
Big Head Aliens
Square, Circle, Circle,
Square, Up, Square, Circle, Circle, Square, Cross
This cheat scales up the size of the heads of aliens (with the exception
of the 'boss' characters) and spitters.
Speed Run
Cross, Square,
Triangle, Circle, Cross, Square, Triangle, Circle, L2, R2
This increases the speed with which the player's character runs in game
and is activated using the 'Circle' button If the player is currently
holding an item in the inventory the item will be used and then the run
speed will be increased.
Retro
Left, Left, Left, Left,
Left, Left, Left, Left, Left, Left
This code activates a 'sepia' colour scheme This cheat is awarded to the
player if the game is successfully completed on ROOKIE difficulty. I
made some Xplorer codes for Asault(pal), maybe they are useful to you. I
have tested them all and there should be no problem using them.
